He had an awesome night last night and the last two daytimes have been pure joy. He's happy with very few fussy periods (which usually center around feeds that are timed with his meds), he smiles alot, coos, and looks around and acts like he's happy to be with us!
I don't know why this picture is sideways, I tried all of my novice blogging tricks and it's still sideways...but isn't it the cutest picture! I was jealous of the extra sleep Alex got, but happy to snap this adorable shot. This morning, Aaron woke up at 5am to eat and after scarfing a bottle down, he spent 45 minutes cooing and smiling at me. I couldn't put him down. I literally stared at him and could relax holding him while we just enjoyed each other. It was amazing. I took Charlie's easy demeanor for granted, not knowing it could be any other way...so when Aaron is happy and wants to interact, I drop everything and spend as much time soaking it in as I can! Sounds dramatic but this fussy baby thing threw me for a real loop!
So on Tuesday, I braved heading out for real (not just a doctor visit) with both boys. I picked Charlie up from daycare and Aaron and Charlie and I walked up to Rittenhouse and ran two big errands. We then plopped ourselves down at an outdoor table at a restaurant and waited for Daddy to be done with his interview (he's got two major job prospects about to open up, but that's all I'll say for really fear of jinxing it!). We all ate as a family and then went to get Rita's (my favorite!). I was on top of the world. You would have thought that I had just run the marathon all over. I couldn't believe that I risked doing that, and did it and was successful. Anyway, I need to stop being so dramatic!
Then on Wednesday, Aaron, Charlie and I headed out to downingtown to meet up with Christy and Bode for a surprise for my mom and dad (mothers day, fathers day and anniversary all combined). We have not given them said surprise so I can't divulge anything on the blog yet, but when I do, you'll need insulin to combat the sweetness of it all! So after the surprise was successfully completed, I stayed at my mom's for several more hours and watched all 3 boys, so Christy could head to work for a little longer (mom is in Florida, and dad was at work and didn't know we were there). I couldn't believe how much fun it was. I was expecting the worst, and it was really great!
